Integrated camera shows not attached error message Yoga 260 and Yoga 12

2020-09-16, 14:15 PM

This is what I have tried so far. Any suggestions? Tried privacy settings (shows camera is on). There is no camera off/on shortcut on the F8 key. Tried updating all drivers and installing drivers from Lenovo support. Even tried installing a registry patch (on Lenovo support page) to correct a registry entry to enable the camera. When going into camera app shows error code 0xA00F4244<No CamerasAreAttached> I opened the laptop and re-seated the camera connector to the motherboard as well. The devices that I am having this issue with is Yoga 260 and Yoga 12

I have had the same problem with my Yoga C920 AND C930.  With my C920, Lenovo claimed it was a bad camera and replaced it...but destroyed the laptop in the process.  I replaced it with the C930.  Same problem.  But it's NOT the camera.  I can get the camera to work fine by going to Device Manager and clicking View Hidden...and uninstalling the Camera shown there.  I then go to the Lenovo website and redownload and install the Camera driver.  Reboot and the Camera is BACK!

...until the next morning when I get the "Camera not Attached" message.

It's NOT a bad camera, and Lenovo really DOES need to figure out how to correct this design defect.
