Welcome to the Community Forums @Engrammer

I might suggest that you share the complete machine type model / MTM (ex. 81C70000RK or 20UD000BUS) from the sticker usually located under the case. This would help find more details about your machine variant, while keeping the confidentiality of your serial number.

If you can't find any sticker under the device showing the machine type model / MTM, check this link as guide how to find it within Windows. Please do not include the machine serial number (S/N): https://support.lenovo.com/ph/en/videos/vid100751-how-to-locate-serial-number-and-machine-type-model-number-may-2020-update

I might advise that you try to perform these steps to the machine.

Try checking the BIOS of your machine if the Always On AC, or the Charge in Battery Mode is enabled.

- Make sure the machine is powered off / switched off.

- Remove all cables attached to the device (power, hdmi, external mouse/keyboard, etc)

- Press and hold down power button for 60 seconds

- This is to drain any excess power voltage on the unit

- After the specified time. re-attach all cables

- Attach the ac adapter and let the unit charge for two minutes

- Find the Novo button and access this using an unfolded paperclip. A click would turn on the machine to Novo Menu.

- Navigate and select using the arrow keys to BIOS Set Up.

- Inside the BIOS set up, head to the Configuration tab.

- You might find the Always On AC and the Charge in Battery Mode setting here, have these two modes set to "Disabled".

- When done go to Exit tab, navigate to Exit and Save Changes. Click on Yes and the machine will boot to Windows.

Observe for any improvement on the battery drain process overgnight.

Update us how it goes.

Regards.

Dex
