Lenovo Flex 5 "Thread Stuck In Driver."

2021-04-21, 15:03 PM

Hello, I recently got the Lenovo flex 5. I started running Zbrush program on it which is a digital sculpting program, it suddenly freezes and then blue screen comes on with a percentage going up to 100% saying "Thread Stuck In Driver."

It has done this multiple times, what can i do?

Hello Isaacmtz,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Would the specific error message only be triggered when using the Zbrush program?

You may try to run diagnostics to your machine and see if the scan might find something that could trigger the issue.

I would also advise to try booting the machine into safe mode and use the machine again to see if the bluescreen would be triggered.

Regards.

Hello so I realized that it wasn’t Zbrush specifically, I ran other programs like photoshop and sometimes just left the laptop on for a while and it would suddenly freeze  then the blue screen with that message would show up.

I downloaded diagnostics and ran several tests and all passed except the sensor. 2 out of three were not detected. The accelerometer noise test and accelerometer interactive test.

currently about to try safe mode. Do I just boot it into safe mode and use it for a while or do I boot it into safe mode then restart the computer to the regular mode to see if it works?

Hi Isaacmtz,

Thanks for the response and observation.

I suggest that you share the machine type model / MTM (ex. 81C70000RK) from the sticker as it would help us detail more about your machine variant.

You can try running one application at a time and update how your testing goes.

Regards.

Hello, so I completely reset the computer completely where I only deleted apps but not data. Even with no app installed it still would randomly freeze after 1hr or more and would turn to blue screen. And the number is 81x20001US
