Lenovo Ideapad 320-15ABR Battery Issues

2020-09-20, 20:11 PM

I woke up this morning and booted my laptop up, only to notice that the battery was not charging.

The AC Adapter is connected, and there is an orange light by the adapter port that blinks 3 times rapidly, then stops, then repeats.

I check on the battery icon for windows, and it specifically says "0% Available (Plugged In)"

I don't understand what happened or why it happened but I need to get it fixed.

Can anyone help?

Hi,

Welcome to the Lenovo forum community!

Please try the following:

Disconnect the charger from the laptop, and the wall.

Make sure the laptop is powered off, then press and hold the power button for 60 seconds.

Reconnect the charger to the laptop, then the wall.

Now try to start your computer.

If the issue is the same, then you will need a new battery.

I've tried that. I've also tried testing out the battery and everything says its working as normal which is even weirder. This only happened after I updated windows the night before.

Do a rollback, then:

  1. Right click the Start button and select Control Panel.
  2. Make your way to System and Security.
  3. Click System.
  4. Click Advanced system settings from the left sidebar.
  5. Select the Hardware tab.
  6. Press the Device Installation Settings button.
  7. Choose No, and then press the Save Changes button.

then reupdate windows
