Lenovo Ideapad slim3 black screen

I just bought a Lenovo Ideapad laptop on Sunday. But it has only been used for 2 days, the screen is black, but the power light is on. Why is that? Is there anyone who can help me really please

Thank you for taking the time to initiate a post.

 

I would suggest to perform the basic steps of troubleshooting to identify if your machine can still boot or power up, and to also isolate if this is a hardware failure. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below.

 

Perform a static discharge/power cycle.

- Make sure there is still remaining battery power on the machine.
- Disconnect all cables connected to the machine (power, hdmi cable, external mouse/keyboard, etc).
- Ensure device is powered/switched off.
- Press and hold down power button for as long as 60 seconds.
- The machine should remain in off state while power draining.

 

Next, find and access the Novo button (this resembles a tiny pinhole with a U-turn arrow sign next to it), poke this hole and the machine should either turn on or go into Novo Menu.

 

If there is no signs of life on the screen but on power light indicators, start identifying for either of these issues:

 

Machine is undergoing no power - if machine has no signs of power light at all.


The issue would be on 'no post' - if machine has power indicator, but try to tap on the capslock key for any light response - if no light response, this is a no post and the problem might be on the internal part of the machine.

 

It's a no display issue - when capslock responded and has power light indicator, try to connect an external screen to check possible signs of display.

What is display shows after pressing novo key. It shows some sort of information, configuration, security and all what can I do for removing dark screen

You are inside the BIOS interface of your machine.

Your laptop LCD screen display is working properly.

To exit, press F10 key as shown in the picture.
