Did I fail to mention, I keep Lenovo Vantage uninstalled?

I have a desktop machine.

Golly gee Batman, it failed again x0C5 accessing bad memory address in some settings.exe module.

It's OK,  they will fix it 60-90 days. OPPS!

Could MS fix this? I dont like red X's daily either.

I have thought about uninstalling Vantage and leaving it at that but I don't know if I want to do that ... yet?

I do have Lenovo System Update also installed and it's funny because two months age was going around dumping unwanted unneeded stuff and wanted to slim down to just Vantage uninstalled System Update than reinstalled it because wanted  keep the update history that has.

MS Edge running okay on this system.

This worked for me and I'm on a Legion Y720. I had LM Controller though, not SIF, so I removed that. I was uninstalling/reinstalling vantage and vantage service and it wasn't working, so I uninstalled the lmcontroller and reinstalled it with everything else. We're up and running. Much thanks

I have since removed most Lenovo software after reading about the Solution Center Vulnerability. I see also System Update has been added to the Security Advisory LEN-27348 and LEN-28093.

I did keep System Interface Foundation a.k.a lmController and also Vantage but installed Diagnostics Tool version 4.31.1.

Vantage is next to useless for me as the Microsoft Store updated me to version 10 and as far as I can tell Lenovo removed the hardware scan function but really was the only thing I was using of the app ... so do not how much longer I may keep it. I do all my updating through my product's support page.

Edit: Just remembered alos dumped Account Portal as it is out of date and saw no use for it.

Edit2: Another thing I had was App Explorer until AdwCleaner labled it a potentially unwanted program and let remove after reading Please stop installing the Lenovo App Explorer adware on our computers.
