Lenovo ideapad 330s SSD slot

2020-09-20, 13:46 PM

Hello, i would like to ask where can i find if my lenovo (lenovo ideapad 330s 15ikb gtx 1050 81gc0076hv) has separate slot for SSD disk or if i have to just replace HDD with SSD?

Cause my laptop is way too slow and gets windows crush way too often.

Ty for your advice :)

Hi zVierka,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You have available m.2 PCIe NVMe SSD slot on your systemboard as shown in the image below specific to your machine 330S-15IKB GTX1050 Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81GC - Model 81GC0076HV (PN 5B20R34677).

Aside from the m.2 SSD, you can likewise replace the current HDD with another 2.5 7mm SATA SSD too.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Welcome to the forum.

According to ideapad_330S-15IKB_single_model_202009201009.pdf there is currently a 1TB HDD installed. There should alnso be a M.2 SSD / PCIe NVMe socket. You could add an M.2 SSD in that socket. If there is already a 16GB "Optane" (cache) card then you can replace it with a higher capacity SSD.

The best way to confirm that you have an M.2 socket is to follow the procedure in the ideapad 330S -14 15IKB HMM to open and inspect the system.

Hi zVierka,

OEM offered m.2 PCie NVMe SSD here under Compatible Tab> Commodity list> Solid State Drive.

I suggest 2280 ones so there is no need for an extension plate for the SSD stick.

Crucial do also offer with bigger capacity too and doesn't have to be the same OEM offered bands.

Regards
