Lenovo ideapad S340 - screen is yellowish giving strain in eyes while reading.

Hi,

I have bought Lenovo ideapad S340 month back. I can see its screen color is yellowish. It gives strain in eyes and headache while reading on laptop.

How to make the screen paper white.

 

I have another laptop with white screen and its does not put strain on eyes at all

 

 

I tried with Lenovo online support but they failed to help me.

Hi there Amol7148

 

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

You could try to re calibrate the display color.

 

  1. Right click the Windows Icon in the bottom left and select Search.
  2. Start typing "Color Calibration" , select "Calibrate display color"
  3. Follow the instruction wizard.

 

You can also try to uninstall and reinstalling the display drivers:

 

Uninstall VGA with drivers and reinstall:

- Press the Windows key + X and select "Device Manager"

- Expand "Display Adapters"

- Right click the AMD, NVIDIA and/or INTEL VGA devices and select "Uninstall"

- If prompted to uninstall drivers associated with the device, tick the box and continue.

- Perform a restart of the laptop. 

 

Reinstall the supported drivers for your device from the Support page

Just plot in your in your serial number and hit enter, might have to hit it twice. Then head to Drivers & Software and under Display and Video Graphics.

 

If it is still yellowish and unnatural, you might be looking at a monitor hardware fault.
