Overheating Laptop

2020-09-20, 18:03 PM

Hi there, I recently came into possession of a Lenovo Ideapad 100 15iby laptop. An old model but still serviceable. It came with Ubuntu on it which kept on overheating. So I installed the latest version of Windows 10 and the thing runs like an absolute darling :D. I do have two small questions :

  1. Did this model come with bluetooth as I cant seems to find it anywhere in my laptopand
  2. Did I do the right thing by installing Windows, as I can now do some low-level video editing and transcoding.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated

Hello,

Choice of Operating System to use is entirely up to you!   You seem happy with Windows, so that is probably good for you!

On older model computers, Blue Tooth capability was an extra cost option.  If Windows settings can't find a bluetooth radio installed, it probably is not present.  However, attaching a blue tooth dongle to a USB port was quite popular.  See if you can find one and try it.

Sincerely,

Usedtoberich
