Phantom inputs? Lenovo Flex 5-1570

My laptop randomly experiences this issue where it seems like it's receiving a constant input from either the keyboard or the touchscreen.  In the taskbar it shows what looks like inputs on all the icons I have pinned.  Also typing on the keyboard activates different hotkeys.  They constantly blink rapidly.  I've disconnected everything from my machine, I have no peripherals connected.  Both Windows Update and Lenovo Vantage say my machine is up to date.  Any idea what's going on?

That is very strange... do you have a good antivirus program, and have you run a full scan recently?

 

When you see the phantom images, have to tried looking at Task Manager to see if you can spot any unidentified programs?   

 

What graphics card(s) does you model have, and what driver versions are you currently running?

That is very strange... do you have a good antivirus program, and have you run a full scan recently?

I run regular Windows Defender and Malwarebytes, I'm no security pro, but I am in I.T.  I looked around for anything out of the ordinary, I had a known good restore point that I rolled back to.  I did launch task manager to see if anything was using the resources and I even ran a digital keylogger to see if something was sending a signal to my box.  No such luck.

 

I have the Intel UHD driver v. 25.20.100.6576

It's back again, and I'm trying to endure it so I can troubleshoot if there are any good ideas out there.  Please let me know if there's anything you think I could try.

I went in and disabled the touchscreen and the inputs seem to have stopped, I can no longer see the touch feedback in the taskbar and the functionality appears to be back to normal.  Now all I have to do is figure out what the heck is going on with the touchscreen.  Gonna try and uninstall or roll-back the driver.
