Problem with Bluetooth after Re-Installation Windows 10 Ideapad Z710

2020-09-19, 13:15 PM

I have not found a solution to this problem even though I tried the common ones like update and de-install the driver etc.

After re-installing my Windows 10 my Bluetooth (Qualcomm Atheros AR3012) cannot find any devices even though the driver is up to date (07-2019), bluetooth is ready and able to turn on. Windows is also up to date. Before the re-installation everything worked. I had several devices paired and working.

I already had a windows support take a look at it with no success.

It looks like its a hardware-driver issue, but the Lenovo driver bridge support does not find any necessary updates. Also, there are no drivers available in the manual section for my laptop.

I would like to get the Lenovo support on this.

Hello,

Under Windows if you have active Warranty support, please contact the Warranty team directly.  Select "SUPPORT" at the top of this page, enter your System Serial number into a search box, and find your exact Warranty support information, along with all the other specific details for your machine.

Have you tried selecting within BIOS, reset to factory defaults toggle?  Usually it is on the same page as Save settings and exit is.  {are you sure you are not in airplane mode?}

Are there more suggestions?

Thank you for the suggestions!

No Warranty any more. The Laptop is from 2013/14.

Therefore, I am not sure that the reset will help since the machine was brought with Windows 8 and now runs Windows 10.

UPDATE

To check if it is a hardware issue, I now booted a Linux system from USB. I was able to install a device via Bluetooth as easy as intended.

So, there is no issue that would involve the warranty.

I still believe that the problem stems from the (new!) driver. I would like a solution on this from the Lenovo Support!

Next, I will try an older version of the driver set.
