Re:Screen Auto Brightens when window maximized and has dark texture

Hi Dex, I have noticed my model (Ideapad 520) is not listed on the windows 10 upgrade list, is that the same as Ideapad 520S? I will see if I can find configuration setting in BIOS, also downloading Lenovo Vantage

Hello @Elly32

I do see the 520-15IKB on the Win10 202h list if this is also your current version.

The 520s is a different version too from your 81BF007CAU IP520-15ikb.

If the Configuration setting is not on your BIOS then try to proceed with the steps provided previously:

Update us back how things go.

Regards,

Dex

Hi Dex, I have managed to update the BIOS to the latest version, just needed to disable PXE booting. I still have the same issue sadly!

Re:Screen Auto Brightens when window maximized and has dark texture

Hello @Elly32

Greetings.

The machine ( 520-15IKB (Type 81BF) Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81BF - Model 81BF007CAU) is listed here for compatible Win 10 202H build version.

Can you check your build version ?

Please connect the same machine with an external display and see also if the same border appears on it.

Another screenshot by an external camera would be nice too.

Access the BIOS and check also for the same border issue.

Update us backk as convenient.

Regards,

Dex

Hi Elly32,

Sorry to hear that and with the lengthy content going over this thread.

I wonder how did the display turned out while connected to external display. And in BIOS as well (Message 16 or 18). We'd like to hear from that.

Regards.
Dex

Hi Dex,

I have no external monitor to use, I have marked it as solved to stop the replies.

You can close the thread.
