Touchscreen is not working Flex 5-1570 (Type 80XB) Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 80XB

Flex 5-1570 (Type 80XB) Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 80XB 

 

Touchscreen stopped working.  Not responding totally to any touch. Lenovo Pen also does not work.

 

I updated BIOS from Lenovo support.

Reboot with "pin-button" as advised in support.

Reset HID-compliant touch screen drive.  The Driver verion now 10.0.17763.1.  Searched for updates - shows it is the latest driver.

I also Uninstalled it and installed it again.

I've done BIOS setting operation to set it to default setting as advised in the support. 

Windows 10 - upgraded, latest up-to-date.

 

This Notebook has never been dropped, no physical damage.

 

Seems nothing helps.

 

Please help.  I would be very grateful.

NOT RESOLVED. Touchscreen is not working. Outdated driver.
Product is not supported at all.  New Win 10 excludes touch screen capabilities completely.


I am going to post a very negative review on AMAZON where I bought this Flex 5. Community totally unhelpful.

Most likely Microsoft is making these malfunctions deliberately to eliminate competition.

Has anyone figured this out yet? I've tried nearly every fix and nothing has worked for me yet. Is Lenovo really just not going to update the driver to be compatible with new Windows? I only purchased this computer for its touchscreen capabilities. I would have purchased another brand if I had known the touchscreen would only work for a few months. Please help!

I don't think Lenovo cares.... sell em and then forget you until it's time to sell another one

that's such a shame. i was really hoping they would fix this so that i could use this computer with touchscreen the way i intended when i purchased it. the touchscreen feature was the most important factor when i purchased this laptop and now it doesn't even work. I'm also not sure if it's the software/drivers or a hardware issue; i'm assuming the latter
