Type c function on ideapad 120

2018-12-13, 4:59 AM

I want to ask about type c port in i120.

Many reviewers and sites claim the port can charge your laptop, but i've test it with macbook charger and my on type c cable connected to 3A charger but its not working.

I also tried use it with type c otg but not working.

So what for is it?

Hi Bk1ng,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

CHecking the product specification for both IP120s 14 and 11 models shows that the single type C is "USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 " intended for data transfer functions.

It does not support charging or display typical to standard type C used in thunderbolt.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards
