Hi Praneeth041,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The specifications should be the same and not the brand that matters.

8GB max7 ; PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3*, non-parity, dual-channel capable, two 204-pin SO-DIMM sockets * System automatically clocks down for processors with 1333MHz DDR3 memory controller

If you check the recommended rams here in the hardware manual (page 88 item 12) offers different brands and 1600 MHz frequencies for some regions that do not have 1333MHz. This would would but expect that it will clock down to the lower frequency but it would still work.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Edit notes: Mixing 2GB + 4GB would also work

The memory spec for your machine:

8GB max; PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3*, non-parity,
dual-channel capable, two 204-pin SO-DIMM sockets
* System automatically clocks down for processors with 1333MHz DDR3 memory controller

Your Hynix  is PC3-12800 1600 MHz SO-DIMM 4GB in size.

Your CPU DDR3 memory controller supports up to 1333MHz. Thus the speed is clocking down.

You can add a 2GB or 4GB stick in the 2nd empty slot using the spec noted.

The Crucial sticks are dual voltage and will support 1.35V or 1.50V.
