Hi ramy03,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If your camera is not working through F8, you may try to press and hold the Function (Fn) key then tap on F8. Do this while the camera application is launched.

You can also check if the Hotkeys are not disabled in BIOS.

1. Perform Power Cycle. Shutdown the machine, disconnect all peripheral devices, press and hold the power button for one minute.
2. Access the Novo Menu through the Novo Button. (A tiny pinhole with a U-turn arrow next to it, located on either side of the machine.)
3. Use the arrow keys to access BIOS Set Up. Once on BIOS Set up, go to Configuration tab.
4. Check if the Hotkeys are not disabled.

Please try to perform these steps to check if the camera is operational.

1. Please make sure that the camera lens of the machine is not covered. Move the slider to cover or uncover the camera lens (*some models have camera shutter).
2. Look closely and check if there is a sticker on the Camera Lens. Remove it.
3. Press F8 key to enable/disable the camera.
4. Check the camera settings in Lenovo Vantage application. Make sure that the camera privacy settings is turned off. Open Lenovo Vantage > Go to Device Settings > Look for Camera and toggle the switch to enable/disable camera privacy settings.

If issue persists, please continue below:

1. Uninstall the camera driver. To uninstall the driver, follow this https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht502484.
2. Reinstall the camera driver. Download the driver from this link: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com
3. Enter the serial number of your device.
4. On the left side, click on Drivers and Software.
5. Click Manual Update.
6. Look for Camera driver.
7. Click download and follow the installation prompt.

Restart your computer and check the issue.

Regards.

HI;

Nice to have you here!

Does the icon show on screen, when pressing F8?
