flex 5g active pen

2021-05-22, 2:55 AM

From what I have read, the Lenovo active pen 2 should work on the Lenovo flex 5g. However, on the product support page for the flex 5g, there are almost no drivers at all. I cannot find an active pen driver anywhere for the flex 5g, and other ones do not work. I have not had any luck getting the active pen to work on the flex 5g. And there's almost no documentation on the issue. While the button on top works, I am not able to write anything, and the side buttons don't work.

Thanks in advance!

Looking at the device sales page: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/ideapad-flex-series/Lenovo-Flex-5G-14Q8CX05/p/88LGF801419, it is only listed as having a touchscreen.

But... there is an accessory link, there, to a pen: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories-and-monitors/stylus-pens-and-supplies/pens/TAB-ACC-BO-Lenovo-Pen-WW/p/GX80U45007

At the Pen link, there is another link to a further description of the pen and with which devices it is compatible: https://accessorysmartfind.lenovo.com/#/products/GX80U45007

Bottom line is that it looks like this may be the only pen designed to work with your "Qualcomm Snapdragon Compute Platform" machine.

Regards.

Not sure if this helps, but this shows up when trying to install the driver from the "wacom pen" app...

haha I hated this notebook for the longest TIME!!!   the product guy is right it only says will work is the original  GX80U45007 Lenovo Pen stylus it totally works great for me. whatever tech makes it work is automatic. I use the sketchable app from windows  and windows office one note feels great. So remember I said I Absolutely hated this thing. Well if you give it a chance and think OUTSIDE the box this thing will shock you. Im going to post something soon for lenovo going to into more detail of my epic journey with this dang thing.
