Hi Sorry if there is already a thread about this subject, but I'm at a loss how to solve this issue now.
I have just bought an Ideapad 100-15IBD and the microphone does not pick up anything at all.
To make things worse I have an exam on Monday 25th July which is an online exam for which I require a working camera and microphone....one out of two will not do!!!
I have followed the advice via the Lenovo Solution Centre and nothing.
I have followed all the Microsoft advice that says to access troubleshooting etc etc....
Please please please can someone help me.
I'm not very literate when it comes to uninstalling / reinstalling drivers so if this it, please can you leave a nice lengthy explanation :-)
Thanking everyone in advance

Hi there, Boy-
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
Control panel / sound / manage audio devices
Go to the recording tab, click “internal microphone", then properties
Then in the "level" tab make sure the mic is not muted (even if the level is at 100%....)
Update us how it goes.
Tap that kudos button if I helped
If you find a post helpful and it answers your question, please mark it as an "Accepted Solution"!

Hi Shashi, thanks for your reply, but this was one of the first things I tried and it didn't work.
I keep reading on MSN forums that its a driver compatability issue with Windows 10, so not that pleased that I've bought a product in the past two weeks that is faulty by design!!!
I suppose I'm going to have to try and uninstall and reinstall the Conexant drivers, but if that doesn't work I don't know what to do!!!
