320S-14IKB (Type 80X4) Laptop (ideapad) Suddenly shutting down

Hi everybody,

My laptop 320S-14IKB (Type 80X4) Laptop (ideapad) is two months old. and now started shutting down suddenly without any notification, the screen only becomes black. this is all happens whenever the power cable is disconnected, although the battery is full. So to avoid this sudden shutting down I have to keep my laptop connected to power. Once I disconnect the cable it lasts five to ten minutes then shutting down again. Please help.

Hi Truth_Seeker,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Would the same display (same programs opened) return back after you plugged the cable back?

It would help if you try full performance for the power option settings to check if setting is not enabled to sleep to save power. But if the issue is a full shutdown losing the opened applications then you need to call in technical support for intervention.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Thank you for the reply first of all.

Actually it's full Shut down, i.e. the running programs are totally closed.

Regards.

Hi Truth_Seeker,

Greetings.

You can use Lenovo Vantage for any driver and firmware update but it would be best to call in tech support and avail of the warranty that your machine have.

Update us how it goes.

Regards
