80TJ00LRUS memory, cpu, and hdd upgrades?

So I've got this awesome laptop, right? It's about that time of the year when people's things get better from a return on an investment. So, I'm wondering how much of my laptop I can change. I keep finding conflicting things on the model specs of my specific laptop. Some sources say there are two sockets for memory and one is soldered, while another will say it's 1 and it's soldered, and yet another will say it's just one and it's able to be swapped. I've also heard of people putting i5 cpu's on there motherboard (most sources say the cpu is soldered) and finally I'm always up for more hard drive space so if I throw a sata or an ssd drive in this is it going to void my warranty? Also taking tips for all of the above, looking at Kingston hyper x ram, a Samsung ssd, and of it's cool with Lenovo possibly an i5. Any help, feed back or tips are highly appreciated and as long as it keeps me within warranty may be considered. Thank you!

Re: 80TJ00LRUS memory, cpu, and hdd upgrades?

Please check platform specification of your laptop. According to it, your CPU is soldered thus making it not repleaceable. Last socketed (repleacable) CPUs were in Haswell generation. Currently all mobile CPUs are non repleacable.

Regarding RAM, you have single SO-DIMM socket for DDR3L-1600MHz (low voltage - 1.35V) module. You can go with Samsung, HK Hynix or Micron - they should work fine. Kingston value is not advised (however some people said that HyperX models should be working fine). Maximum supported module is 8GB.

In case of SSDs, following models were installed in your laptop by Lenovo:

- SSD, 128G 2.5'' SATA(low cost), Samsung(CM871)Plan EOL @2016/7Samsung MZYLF128HCHP 2.5‘’ 5mm 128GB SSD 5SD0H45117
- SSD, 128G 2.5'' SATA(low cost), Samsung(CM871a) TBD
- SSD, 128G 2.5'' SATA(low cost), Hynix(SC300), Hynix HFS128G3BMND-3210A 5SD0K44056
- SSD, 256G 2.5'' SATA, Samsung(CM871a), MZYTY256HDHP-000L2 2.5'' 256G 5mm SSD 5SD0L14644
- SSD, 256G 2.5'' SATA, Liteon(CV3), CV3-DE256 2.5" 5mm 256G SSD 5SD0L02316

You can look for one of these or go with Samsung EVO 850 SSD. Moreover, your laptop have a DVD burner - you can buy a 2nd disk caddy and install second disk instead of this drive.

Okay thank you very much you went beast mode with the knowledge but is the ram socketed or is it one soldered and once socket? I'd rather only take it apart once and be done than do it multiple times for a decent stick of ram. Thank you again man!
