A GPU bottleneck in IdeaPad 320 (80HY0001BR)

Helow guys! I'm a trouble since I start to work in my new IdeaPad 320, it's extremely irritated.

So, I bought this computer because of good configuration, actually it Geforce 940mx as also it i7 7th. I work with edition, also I like play games sometimes, so I belivied it's the perfect computer for me.

But I when started to work, it take down your performer, mainly in GPU. After I searching on the internet, I discover that this problem it could be the HD, so I changed for a SSD, formatted the machine and the computer was very good. (That's about five months ago.)

However, it's been 10 days that everything got worse, even with SSD. The programs I use for editing don't work very well and the games play in slow motion. I thought this problem was in driver, so I formated again in other HD, I reinstalled the windows and the driver for this machine (download of the oficial site Lenovo). However the problem continued like as before. The print below demonstrates the absurdity that has come for run a simple games (Heroes of the Storm) in so soft configuration. The game was in slow motion (1 at 10 fps, no more!). Also some tests in other games (destiny 2, Diablo, III, SimCity 3) and the same problem always happens.

I already researched a lot for fix, reformated the machine again, changed setud of the Nvidia, erevything possible. I even used Lenovo's softare for fix hardware, but it don't find any trouble. But if it has no hardware problem, why reformatting the whole machine still giving the same problem? Imagem-4---Log-Lenovo-Solution.jpg

The only thing I suspected is que oscilation in real time in the GPU together CPU (as below). The normal (and it has always been like this since the first few times I used the computer) is that GPU work in 100% when I play a game and and do not stay in that crazy oscillation.

So folks, that's all, I hope you can help me and sorry for bad english. thank you!

Re: A GPU bottleneck in IdeaPad 320 (80HY0001BR)

Hi ricardophil!

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Can you give us the Intel + Nvidia driver version based on Device Manager > Driver Tab
When done, try the following:
1. Download and run GPU-Z (3rd party GPU monitoring tool).
2. Enable logging on the Nvidia Card
Sample screenshot:
3. Play Game normally for 10mins then attach the log file here. This is to see if the Intel + Nvidia GPU are properly using the Switchable Graphics Technology.

Re: A GPU bottleneck in IdeaPad 320 (80HY0001BR)

So this problem disappeared without explanation. but it already happenig other time and it's always return...

In relation at 3th party GPU monitoring of temperature, when this problem begin, I saw it's normal (in the top sample, in the Heroes of the Storm, it was at 49º C).

Below is the print of the test, but in moment is working normaly.

(Is the problem could some windows update or something?)

Re: A GPU bottleneck in IdeaPad 320 (80HY0001BR)

I believe I was find the problem, but I don't know resolve. The problem is happening in the pc energy! Actually, it's a mad trouble that occasionally happen.

Sometimes the computer runs very well and I work without problem.

Sometimes start a terrible bottleneck and I need to stop my work.

So, one time, when this started, I stopped the work and unpluged the power conector for listen music with notebook in the kitchen and... the miracle happed, the pc went back to work normaly!

I pluged again and that's when I realized the power suplly was with a stimate for full about 5 hours, even with 80 % charged. A moment later the power suplly came back the normally and the notebook rans OK.

Then, the diagosis: The computer works very well when unplugged, but, sometimes, the gpu stop to work when the power supply  is plugged.

When this problem started, I played the game in two moments and printed TechPower below for you understand. The first I played plugged... GPU Load and Memory Controller stayed crazy. And the second moment I played unplugged and the notebook ran very well.

So, have you any idea for resolve this? THANKS!
