Re: ADD OTHER HDD OR SSD TO FLEX 4

Hi alexarce ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Would you have the machine number to be specific on the model design ?

Storage bay as per hardware specification would only offer one location as optical bay is also not available for additional slot :

Some: SSD / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 7mm high Some: HDD / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 7mm high Some: SSHD with 8GB NAND flash memory Serial ATA, SATA 6.0Gb/s support, integrated in processor.

Herewith is the lenovo service guide for additional reference.

Upgrading current storage may help for the small disk space similar to this discussion

Hope this help answer your query.

Update us how it goes best for you.

Regards

Re: ADD OTHER HDD OR SSD TO FLEX 4

Hi alexarce ,

Greetings.

For your lenovo flex 4 1570 , there are no available add on slot for storage aside from your main drive as per system manual. If your thinking of the M.2 slot , it is more as a dedicated WLAN rather than for storage so it maynot be electronically dedicated.

Upgrading your current SSD to a bigger capacity may be the remedy for the less space else external plugable drive.
