I have had my Flex 5-1570 for about a month now with no issues but after a firmware update was installed on Sept 13 titled "Wacom Touch Firmware Package 10 - V.02.15" the pen input has been unreliable.
As I write words on the screen, occasionally the pen stops recognizing my input until I lift the pen off the screen and place it back. This is very frustrating and I have tried updating the BIOS, reinstalling drivers even a system restore did nothing (because this update changed things on a firmware level of the touch screen, nothing on the hard drive)
Is there anything else I can do or somehow get a previous version of the firmware? Resetting the PC is a last possible option because I have many programs, files, configurations and settings that would take me several days to set up again.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Unfortuantely I don`t have access to this unit, so I`m not 100% sure, but Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Also, Try to download the Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.
Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Can you explain how this worked? the Flex 5 does not have a removable battery. Holding the power button down for thirty seconds is useless, it's simply a reboot. I am finding it difficult to believe that this is an actual solution to this problem.

I figured it out, first open "Device Manager" then go to HUMAN INTERFACE DEVICES and right click LENOVO PEN DEVICE and Update Driver by searching automatically. Next Do the same in SOFTWARE COMPONENTS and update LENOVO PEN DEVICE driver there as well.
