Configure BIOS (AHCI) to support SSD in Ideapad 310

I need help to configure my SSD in a Ideapad 310.

There is no support for AHCI in BIOS and Windows did not recognize the SSD.

What steps should be taken in order to Windows 10 recognize it?

Should I change to Legacy before than change Windows configuration?

Thanks,

Marcio

Re: Configure BIOS (AHCI) to support SSD in Ideapad 310

Hello,

When I had the same issue (I needed to enable AHCI in order to install Linux), I had to install BIOS 0NCN27S2 on my 710S-13ISK.

I suggest to Google somthing like "[your model number] ahci bios", this is how I found the correct BIOS.

There's only one issue: it looks like that the ahci-enabled BIOSs (at least the one form my pc) is not updated any longer; as a matter of fact, this week I received a notification regarding a new BIOS update that fixes some security issues, but I don't know if it still supports AHCI. I just posted here on the forums (https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-IdeaPad-100-305-500-Edge/710S-13ISK-BIOS-update-0NCN41WW-and-AHC...) to ask if someone knows something about it.
