Edge 15 80h1 x001us Pink screen and previous ghost image

Lenovo 80H1x001US

I have the same problem.
Symptom:
1 year of average use
8 first months works well
Ocacionamente pink screen in some opening positions
Permanent pink screen and ghost view of previous screens.
Tests:
With external monitor connected via HDMI, the monitor image is perfect with pink notebook screen and ghosts at the same time.
Given this progression of symptoms, I discard what concerns the update of bios.
I understand by discarding that it is the video cable
I retired and reassembled the RAMs.
Disconnect and reconnect both ends of the video cable.
Tighten and move the video cable into the hinge area.

I refer you:
1.- The diagnosis could be other than the video cables?
2.-What is the spare number that I must order.
3.-On which page you can buy the "original" part, with international shipping.

Hello whf1,

There is another possibility, does your machine have a dedicated GPU? if so the the HDMI would display correctly.

also it could be the display itself that is failing, not just the cable.

Hope this help you and let us know how you get on

Thanks Neo

You'll know if there's any way to test the display to make the diagnosis accurate.

Re: Edge 15 80h1 x001us Pink screen and previous ghost image

Well, I changed the video cables and:
1st hour of operation: pink background screen
After one hour: normal screen, very good image.
I turned it off for 4 hours.
I turn it on and then screen pink background
Just so you know.
