FN keys flex 2 15

Is there any way to switch FN and F1-12 keys for example i must hold the FN key to acces F1-F12 keys, witch is really annoying if you are working with software or playing games. So is there any software or some kind of seting somewhere hidden in windows to pernamently turning on FN key? thx

Re: FN keys flex 2 15

This is a pretty unsolvable problem on Lenovo laptops until Lenovo provides a solution.

Believe me I have tried solving this through low level/high level coding. (with my limited knowledge ofcourse)

The FN key sends a hardware interrupt (I believe so) which is not received by the OS but by the hardware lying underneath. There has to be a BIOS option to make this happen and which has to come from Lenovo.

There is no software yet on the market (I didnt find any) which can capture a FN key or help program it, in the way you want.

Re: FN keys flex 2 15

Hey there,

I wasnt aware of this and was just pointed out that there is indeed an option in the Flex2 BIOS to access F1-F2 keys directly.

You need to go into your BIOS and change the Hotkey Mode to Disabled.

----------How can I start the BIOS setup utility?

To start the BIOS setup utility, do one of the following:

• Press Fn + F2 at start-up.

• Shut down the computer. Press the Novo button and then select BIOS Setup.
