Hi
I purchased the Flex 10 netbook a couple of weeks ago, and really like it.
Within a day or 2 of purchase I updated it to Win 8.1 (the vendor said it was compatible).
However the touchscreen becomes completely unresponsive after about 10 - 15 mins of routine activity. The only way to regain function is to reboot.
It's very annoying ! I have updated to most recent drivers from Lenovo site but to no avail.
I only have a very limited selection of software installed (Chrome, Firefox, Logitech Media Server, Foobar2000, LastFM desktop client & Open Office 4.01).
Maybe this model is not compatible with Win 8.1 ?
Can anyone advise me here ?
It would be a real pain to have to RMA this as it's otherwise a great little netbook, and perfect as a low power music server for my Logitech Squeezebox players.
Thanks

I also have this issue where the touchscreen stops working after some usage, reboot helps so I guess it must be a driver issue. I also upgraded the machine to windows 8.1. I have been thinking to upgrade all available drivers so far I have only upgraded the wireless adapter driver.
I tried to get Miracast (wireless display) to work and I did get it to work. I have also noticed that the screen starts to blink sometimes after using netflix and exiting.

Go to device manager (you can search it using charm) and click the Human Interface Device. Look for HID-compliant touch screen and click on it. Click on the Power Management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power.
Hope it works.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Unfortunately the "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power" box is empty, and greyed out. So no option to change it anyway.

I haven't noticed the issue since I changed the power settings to high performance.
I have to keep monitoring but hoping for the best. I disabled the sleep mode also.

Thanks
I'm fed up trying to sort this out, when the touch screen should just "work".
Getting a refund and will look for another model.

Can you uncheck the UMDF HID minidriver device. It is under Lenovo Vhid Device. under the power management tab as well.

Hi all! I got an Ideapad Flex 10 (Win 8.1) a week ago and I found that the touchscreen becomes completely unresponsive after about 10 - 15 mins of routine activity. My touchscreen freezes and I have to restart my laptop with the mouse to solve the problem. Does anyone know how to solve this problem with certain? I like this laptop but I’m thinking to return it because I don’t expect this kind of issues with a new PC. Any suggestions?
