Flex 2-14 Sleep Mode

A lot has been posted about the Flex 2 and other models stuck in sleep mode.  When pressing the power button the light comes on (white), the keys back light is on and the fan is running, but the screen never comes on.  I have tried all kinds of reset procedures, from the simple reset to pulling the battery.  Even removing the bios battery.  I tried connecting an external display, but still it does the same thing.  So I decided the motherboard has to be the problem.  I replaced the motherboard and I still have the same problem.  I can't get the machine to wake up. The only other thing is the "power board".  Does anyone know if the power board could cause this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Flex 2-14 Sleep Mode

Hello MrChodan

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

If you have attempted all that, then it would indeed seem like the main board will be responsible for the troubles.

So, if these steps do not work I would recommend, that you call your local Lenovo support line for a possible service. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Re: Flex 2-14 Sleep Mode

Are you referring to the "main board" as the motherboard?  If so, I have already replaced it and have the same problem.  I was wanting to know if the "power board" could be causing this problem.  There has to be a common denominator here as to why two different motherboards have the same problem.
