Flex 3-1480

2016-10-21, 9:53 AM

Hello!

1. I would like to know is it possible or not in Lenovo flex 3-1480 add more memory. It is installed 8Gb of memory, i know, that CPU supports up to 32Gb. Many scanning software show, that there are 4 slots for memory. When i opened back cover of the laptop, could found no one RAM memory =)
As i know motherboard can support up to до 32Gb DDR 4 too.
2. There are some problems when i try to the sleep mode, it wakes up at the same time. The same problem with hibernation mofe.
Can somebody advice something with these problems?

Hi Spirit86 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

In addition , as what resellers would show from their website to check from the manufacturer.

As per hardware manual page 26 :

1,600 MHz SODIMM × 1 (max 8 GB)

Product specification sheet confirms:

8GB max / PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3L, one 204-pin SO-DIMM socket

On page 42 of the hardware guide after removing memory EMI shielding bracket , physically offers just one RAM slot intended for OEM recommended max 8GB RAM  . Third party resellers and software can help but at most time showing results of the processor details but not the architectural and overall performance standards and OEM preset BIOS that may or may not be able to recognize 32 / 16GB RAM similar to this discussion

With wake / sleep issue , you may review some steps performed by fellow members that may help here.

Regards
