I just got this laptop and everything is great EXCEPT the fact that the up arrow key is where the right shift key normally is on every other computer I have ever used in my life. This is honestly causing me a huge headache because I type very fast and without thinking or looking and every time I go to do an uppercase letter and reach for the shift key, I hit the arrow key instead.
I honestly don't know why anyone would build a keyboard that is different than others but I am trying to figure out how to work with this without slowing down my typing, which is honestly driving me insane.
What can I do here other than continue to make typos? I hooked up an external keyboard for the shorterm but that doesn't really help me when I'm on a plane or travelling for work. I paid a lot for this computer and really need to be able to use it properly.
Mod's Edit: System model added to the front of Subject line to improve visibility / clarity.

Hi JoyHawkins ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
What specific model would you have?
There are indeed specific designed keyboard layout that may not suit majority of the fast typing users.
Similar discussions here would be about remapping keys else using a usb mini keyboard as alternate solution to this design issue.
Hope this helps answer your query.
Update us how best it goes for you.

That other thread solved my problem. Thanks for referencing it. Please pass along feedback that it's really stupid for them to put the arrow keys where the shift key normally is on every other computer that I have used in my life.
