Hi. I'm really confused and uncomfortable with this strange problem so I hope someone has some insight. This might get long but I want to give as much info as possible.
Prior to this, the battery has been draining noticeably faster than normal. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but because of that, I have been keeping the laptop plugged in almost always while I use it.
On to the main problem. Yesterday, the battery was not charging when I plugged in the AC adapter. It said "plugged in, not charging." It was at 99% and when I unplugged it, of course it drained a bit. Plugging it in again kept it at 97% indefinitely, but not charging up. So I looked around on the Internet for solutions and tried updating my battery driver. It was up to date with no apparent issues. This is where it gets weird because after unplugging it and plugging it in again for a while, eventually, the battery started to charge again. It got to 100% fully charged (although strangely suddenly jumping from 97% directly to 100%). It worked fine like this for the rest of the day.
Now for this morning! The same thing happens when I turn it on. Plugged in, not charging. I look up support sites again while I do the same things as yesterday. Unplug, plug in. I also tried updating the battery driver again just because. Once again, eventually, it started charging successfully again. It got to 100% again.
Finally, I unplugged it again just now to see what would happen. I wrote this post, plugged it back in, and guess what-- not charging. So I have no idea what's going on. I have had this laptop for about 8 months.
Let me know if I can somehow give more helpful details about the issue.

Hi fortuneravine! Welcome to our forums community. May we know what OS version are you running on the machine? Try these similar steps on this link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159.
