Hi! Try to complete uninstall the Finger Print Driver under device Manager. When deleting the driver Check Uninstall Existing drivers. After uninstalling the driver restart the laptop then install then 1470 driver update. Once installed, verify if the if the Fingerprint is working.
If yes, we need to check if we can disable the auto update driver for your Fingerprint.
1. Go to Device Manager.
2. Look for the Finger Print Driver. Right Click on the Fingerprint Driver.
4. Hardware Tab
5. Click on Device Installation Settings.
6. Choose "No, Let me choose what to do" then "Never Install driver software from Windows Update".
7. Click on Save Changes.
Let us know if this works. Reggie_Lenovo

Although, there is no hardaware tab under the propoerties of the fingerprint device, so I cannot see any device installation settings as you mentioned...
All I can do is to disable the general device automatic update process, but the option is not available only for the individual device..

Thanks for getting back to us.
I see. Could send us the current version of the finger driver installed on the Device so we can take a closer look? Also, send us a photo of the driver from the device manager. Right click on Properties, then, under the driver tab takes a photo. We'll wait for your response.

I can attach a printscreen image of the driver details...the language is in Greek, although you can see the required details of the driver version...
At this state the fingerprint device is fully functional...
I have to state that I totally disabled the general automatic driver update of the system devices and also disabled the power save option of the fingerprint device...

At the moment tha device is functional.
Although suddenly after a few hours it shows a code 10 error and need the reinstallation process as stated.
As I mentioned earlier, I disabled the general automatic update feature as well as the power option of the device...
Let's see if it will keep work with those mods...

I see. You may also try these steps when the fingerprint is working.
1.Right click the Start button and select Control Panel.
2.Make your way to System and Security.
4. Click Advanced system settings from the left sidebar.
5. Select the Hardware tab
6. Press the Device Installation Settings button.
7. Choose No, and then press the Save Changes button.
Have a nice day!

As I mentioned above, the steps that you describe have been done as a lock for the general drivers automatic update process. Is there any way to disable thiw option only at the fingerprint device and not the whole amount of system devices ?

Once the fingerprint driver starts showing The device can’t start (Code 10) error, try the following:
