Re: Get the message "your hardware settings have changed. Please reboot your computer for these

Hi Tony,

Welcome to Lenovo Community! Happy to have you here

As I understand that you are facing some kind of message whenever you are restarting the system.

So in order to resolve this follow the steps:

  • Open  Run command and type 'services.msc' then press Enter.
  • Now search for AMD External Events Utility and double click on it.
  • Then goto Startup Type & choose Disabled
  • Apply & OK

I hope the above information helps.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Regards,

Prabhansh

Re: Get the message "your hardware settings have changed. Please reboot your computer for these

Hi again,

Thanks for the required information. Try the following steps:

  1. Start Device Manager. To do this, press and hold (or right-click) the lower-left corner of the desktop, and then select Device Manager.
  2. Locate and right-click the AMD display Adapter and then select Properties.
  3. Select the Driver tab, and then select Roll Back Driver.

Restart & have a check.

Do let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Prabhansh

Re: Get the message "your hardware settings have changed. Please reboot your computer for these

Still having problems with this issue.

I have a Lenovo Laptop with AMD A6 processor and Radeon R4/R5 graphics, running Windows 10.

The AMD driver failed to install at the last update and received the message advising to reboot because the hardware settings have changed. The only solution that was successful was to wind back the driver using Device Manager.

This worked until the driver tried to install and again was unsuccessful and again i have the advice regarding rebooting the computer.

Any suggestions!!!!!!!
