How to Decrease Shred Video Memory in Lenovo Ideapad 320 - 15AST ?

Hi Lenovo Forum Community.

I buyed a Lenovo 320 15AST few months back.

Specs are =

Processor = AMD A9 9420

Ram           = 4GB

HardDisk   = 1TB

I am having issues like lagging in loading single page in Chrome, etc.

My system is only using 50% (2GB) Ram because other 50% is shared with gpu memory.

Can someone please help me decreasing the shared gpu memory size.

Re: How to Decrease Shred Video Memory in Lenovo Ideapad 320 - 15AST ?

Hi ParamjeetSingh,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As answered on the discussion here, there is no option for Windows to change it and the OEM BIOS do not offer the option to manage the automatically set shared RAM.

You can however increase the physical ram by upgrade base on your needs. Other ways maybe to disable hardware acceleration on chrome (open chrome and go to settings, choose advance and uncheck hardware acceleration) or choose a different browser that offers less ram usage.

Set your graphics option to low graphic presets and power options to balance instead of high performance.

Personally upgrading your ram to 8GB max should be enough for your needs.

Regards
