I am trying to install a copy of Windows XP onto my computer. During this process a BSOD 0x7E is encountered and acpi.sys is mentioned.
The original operating system was Windows 8. The hard disk is not original, a new one have been bought. I have disabled UEFI boot anywhere I could and was able to install Windows 7, but not XP.
I could not try setting SATA Controller mode to the Compatibility in BIOS settings because the computer stops at the "LENOVO" black screen and goes no further.
Thanks for your attention. Excuse me if there are any mistakes in my posts.

XP doesn't support UEFI bios, so have to install using Legacy bios settings. Also XP has to install from optical drive. Many problems with this, because XP is not supported anymore, I doubt any drivers exist for your PC for XP. You were better off with Windows 8. I think you will run in to many obsticles trying to install XP.
