so, I just got a new laptop, cause the last HP i Had finally broke down. unfortunately it broke down before i could back up anything off the hard drive. So i found the old hard drive from my HP pavillion G7 17' notebook. the hard drive is a toshiba MQ01ABD075. The laptop originally was using windows 7 OS, but i later upgraded it to windows 10. I was wondering if i would be able to use this hard drive in my IdeaPad, without having to re-install windows 7 or 10 from a USB/ windows Disc? would it be easier to just purchase a hard drive adapter and just download everthing i need from the HD?

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
I think you would be better off using it as an external drive, it might not be compatible with the unit, but I`m not 100% sure, so you will need to check before attempting to replace it.
This is just a suggestion of course
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
