I have an IdeaPad S540 with an AMD CPU. It had both the AMD High Definition Audio Device and Synaptics Audio.
I re-installed Windows because I always start with a clean install with a new laptop. I reinstalled the latest audio driver using the lwsd040f09ab.exe file. I couldn't find the Dolby Audio GUI installation for my PC, but I found one for another Lenovo laptop and it looks like the installs are all the same for the Dolby UI, so I used the i03n06af08pe.exe file.
My audio works when headphones are plugged in, and the audio works through the speakers. Also, the Audio Smart Settings for Dolby work.
In looking at reviews for the S540, they say that the Dolby Audio UI comes pre-installed and should work with this laptop. However, when I try to launch the Dolby UI, I get the attached error.
I contacted support and they said that they only handle hardware issues and as long as I hear sound, that's all they're obligated to troubleshoot. Can anyone provide any guidance on what I can try?

Tanks for posting the model number.
For the S540-14API (81NH0058US) it comes with a preinstalled AMD High Definition Audio Device and Synaptics Audio.
Preinstalled drivers can be deleted manually or using a Windows clean install.
It is possible to get it back by Reinstalling Windows on the computer.
Please try this troubleshooting steps.
Lenovo Digital Download Recovery Service (DDRS).
Give me an update on how it goes.

Please re-read my problem statement. I re-installed Windows. I re-installed the audio drivers. My audio devices both work, and I stated that I had the same ones that you stated.
My actual problem is stated in my original problem statement post. It is getting the Dolby UI working.
