Ideapad 100 fails to display

Hello! After switching on my laptop, it worked but not longer after it stopped working ( automatic shutdown) . i ve tried all the reset method but all to no avail.

 

Presently, the laptop is on but not displaying anything. Moreover, its getting hot like never before and its signalling a yellow light around the CD rom area (inside the laptop)

 

Please someone should help me out!

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.


Sounds like a hardware component has failed, if there is no display and the unit is getting hotter by the minute.

 

I would advise that you don't attempt to stress the unit, potentially causing it to overheat.

 

I would recommend that you get in touch with your local Lenovo Support line for a possible service.

Does that mean the BIOS ibad or the motherboard is fault???
