My Ideapad (100s-14IBR), that I have had for three years, is having an issue with charging. The battery light is flashing oranage, but not the steadt flash that I am used to. It is an erratic flashing. When I plug my laptop in, the battery symbol in the corner of the screen, when moused over, tells me that the laptop is plugged in but not charging. Any ideas on how to fix this? I need my laptop for class

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
If the unit is refusing to charge, it will likely be either a charger cable problem, or the battery itself.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Otherwise, if this is unable to help, I would recommend that you try out a new charger, and if that does not work, then a new battery if possible.
If none of these help, it will be another component at fault, for which I would recommend that you get in touch with your local Lenovo support line for a possible repair.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
