(Ideapad 100s 11IBY - trying to instal perppermint 7 os)
I ask because I have been trying to boot using the usb with Peppermint 7 (32-bit) OS, and I used rufus to create the UEIF bootable usb. But, I have still had zero luck using either the boot menu or going through the UEIF options using windows 10.
Does Ideapad 100s even allow boot from usb (under the boot settings there are barely any configurable options such as the boot priority)?

I have made a Windows recovery usb drive and can boot from that by pressing fn-F12 at startup. That brings a selection of boot choices including the usb drive. I may have disabled secure boot but am not sure. The recovery drive has to be FAT32 formatted.
Notebooks are always hard for Linux with the special top row keys for dimming and volume control. Good Luck!
