Re: Ideapad 110-15AST - How to improve performance

Hi Sumusuporta,

Greetings.

The specification for this laptop is designed for casual surfing, streaming, and playing.

Those activities available for AMD A9-9400 Processor 2.4G would not be expected to other processors as shown here on this benchmark but decent enough for basic computing needs like documentation and light gaming but not much-opened browsers as limited by 4GB RAM.

Aside from limiting some running applications in the background by doing clean boot I think you would appreciate more doing the task if you upgrade your RAM to 8 GB ( DDR4-1866 MHz, SODIMM × 1 max 8 GB) as described on page 36 of the hardware manual.

You can consult the store you purchased the machine with for this aside from those listed in page 64 item RAM.

SSD upgrades can also be done but try to start with the memory first and notice the difference.

Hope this help answer your query.

Regards

Re: Ideapad 110-15AST - How to improve performance

Hi

As discussed in the other post:

"Each 110-15AST are distributed with different parts packaged in each region depending on marketing demands. This can be seen here on the product specification sheet for 110-15AST.

Your Model 80TR003RPH 110-15AST Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80TR was packaged with part number 01FR300 SM30M49902 4G DDR42400 SODIMM (PH distribution) as seen here on the parts lookup page.

Whereas 80TR001DUS 110-15AST Laptop (ideapad) - Type 80TR have part number 01AG710 8GB DDR4 2400 SoDIMM (US distribution)."

8GB is a bit expensive so users can decide later if they need to upgrade the ram for their use.

On the post are the recommended 8GB RAM and stores available for you. I beleive you would definitely feel the difference once you made this upgrade.

Regards
