Ideapad 2-in-1 - 14 (81CW) - Is the RAM upgradeable?

I have the following laptop and I am wondering if the RAM is upgradeable? I am finding conflicting information.

Lenovo Ideapad 2in1 14

Model - 81CW (LENOVO_MT_81CW_BU_idea_FM_ideapad 2in1 14)

This command-line dump of system info shows an empty socket. So I am wondering, is this computer upgradeable, and if so, where can I order a RAM stick for it?

Thanks!

Re: Ideapad 2-in-1 - 14 (81CW) - Is the RAM upgradeable?

Hi All,

Greetings.

Please take time to review the highlighted links answered above as this would help you get the right upgrades for your machine.

The article would suggest using parts lookup page here aside from those listed in the hardware manual to specifically get the OEM part number. Enter your serial and choose Compatible under Configuration tab then filter to memory under commodity list.

You are not limited to OEM brands just try to stay close to the same specifications of the OEM recommended parts and check return options when buying from third party resellers.

Regards

Re: Ideapad 2-in-1 - 14 (81CW) - Is the RAM upgradeable?

Is there anyone who can attest to the results theyve experienced after making the RAM upgrade?

I was given the impression by a tech support agent with a 3rd party company that the limitations of the pentium processor would overshadow the perceived benefits of a RAM upgrade...thus making it only a marginal impact.

If this is a sound rationale, then I will forgo the upgraded memory and frankly, upgrade with a new machine
