Just want to know what is the size of the caddy for Ideapad 320 15IKB I have encountered two sizes i dont know which should I buy 9.0 or 9.5. what are the pros and cons. And should the SSD be on the motherboard not on the caddy since i would be transfer my os to the ssd or it doesnt matter on the location of the hards drives .

Welcome to the Community Forums.
The 320-15IKB are offered with a 9.0 Slim DVD drive (page 72 item11) but at most of the universal caddy that claims fit to the model are 9.5mm to allow non slim hdd.
Personally I would suggest to chat/talk with the reseller if they can vouch compatibility with your model before ordering so you can have a rope in case of returns.

Hi thanks for the reply however the sellers here in the Philippines have no idea if it would fit they told me that the we as the customer should have known the size of the caddy we need.
And if I would be transferring the hdd to the caddy shluld i buy the 9.5??

Using caddy are modifications (user preference) outside the original OEM design so resellers do not have informations specific to it. Take note however that you need to keep the original part to place back when you are to claim warranty service.
As mentioned 9 or 9.5 universal caddy would fit but 9.5 allows more space if you are to use a non slim hdd design to put insode the caddy. When getting your caddy, check if they verified your model to work with it and most specially to read on fellow buyers reviews and return option just in case.

As I am upgrading to an ssd I want to clean install windows 10 which I have already in my HDD but I want to install win in gpt partition format so I can directly use ssd (new) in installation or I have to convert it from mbr to gpt as my motherboard support uefi and HDD is partitioned in gpt format .
