As stated in the subject, the center piece of my laptop hinge snapped off. I left it sitting on my desk and unfortunately my cat decided to knock it off, luckily there's no other damage besides that. As you can see I placed some clear tape over the center piece to temporarily cover the big hole in the middle, and now I'm too afraid to even use my laptop. Is there anyway I can fix this, or possibly place something else there? Will be grateful for any advice! Thank you!

Welcome to the Community Forums.
You can review the hardware manual here and service training module here to check on the steps in restoring the hinge cover for your model. This may take several parts to secure so if you need tools to perform then it would be better having any local service center do this for you.
Hope this helps answer your query.

If restoring back the hinge cover fails due you broken part, then detail inspection may show other parts need. Parts lookup page would help identifying the OEM part number and likewise here is an article to purchase.
Within US, certified OEM parts can be ordered via Lenovo encompass but you may also check other resellers online using the OEM part number as option.
