I will answer you in a few days, after my SSD arrives and I install it. For now it's a little slow in terms of loading speed in windows and games. The fps in games seems fine. It's a good laptop but having a SSD makes it a better one

So I installed the ssd in the M.2 drive... had problems with boot because of the primary disk type and I came to a conclusion to delete everything and start fresh put the boot options back to uefi after I finished and yea, it works great... better than I was expecting. Very easy opening the laptop, no wire interfirence at all with the m2 slot...I can fully say that I recomend this laptop for the next 2 years

Hello, Thank you for the feed. I will upgrade my laptop with the same Samsung SSD thanks to your related experience.
I would just like to know if you have also upgraded the RAM. IF so, how many slots this laptop (ideapad 330 15ICH) has in total/available?
By reading the hardware maintenance manual, i'm not sure about the quantity of slots...
Again, thank you for your help.

I didn’t consider upgrading the RAM and I didn’t check to see how many slots there were (I wish I had!). I would assume that there are no free slots.
I can also just add that my laptop has been working perfectly and still is, and I’ve had no issues after installing the ssd. I can happily recommend doing it!

The sticker underneath the laptop says the following:
Lenovo Ideapad 330-15ICH
Model name: 81FK.
SN: ...... MTM: 81FK007JMX
I suppose that’s enough to identify the correct model?
For what it’s worth, I purchased mine in Norway from a retail chain called Elkjøp.

Hello, just bought an ideapad 330 15 ich and i was trying to uderstand if it is possible to replace the original 5400 rpm hdd with an 2.5" Kingston SSD UV500 240GB 3D TLC SATA pairing it with an SSD M.2 2280 Samsung 970 Evo 250GB MLC V-NAND NVMe. on the m.2 slot
would it work?

It is possible but why not make use of the original hdd? And instead of 2 ssd's you could try one M.2 one of the capacity of 500 GB? You get out of the deal more GB and with less money or the same money...use the original hdd as a download drive and the other install any high demand programs/games
