Awesome! My post about performance in xubuntu with mainline kernel and setup steps just got deleted. Good job lenovo!
In summary I can say this:
I am benchmarking my 330-15ARR using minecraft (MultiMC 062) due to java's multiplatform nature.
I am using same instance of Vanilla 1.13.2 And 1.0.28 stoneblock
Ram allocation and settings are persistent across platforms.
So far I got this results: (FPS in cave/FPS above ground AVG/Stoneblock FPS)
This looks like all the problems lays in POOR driver support both from lenovo and AMD under proprietary-joke-of-an-os.
PS: For me it is just what I wanted from this laptop to replace my dead vostro (i5+740m). Won't even bother booting w10 again.
Mod's Comment: your post was not deleted. Due to the edits you performed on that posting, the forum's Spam Filter automatically removed it in error believing you were spamming the forum. That post has now been restored. Sorry for the confusion.

Hmm.. Looks like this guy just found the way to disable STAPM:
Very promising indeed.

There is no custom bios available for Lenovo Ideapad 330-15arr. There is throttling in basic tasks such as browsing and even unlocking the screen is hell slow after 10-12 minutes of use. Very bad laptop returning now. My previous hp laptop with Intel HD works fine with such tasks.
Do not talk about gaming, gaming is really not the thing for lenovo. I know Vega 8 is very good it can run almost all AAA titles but lenovo is worst. Amd is good, I have desktop of amd 2200g with Vega 8 its graphics performance is far greater than lenovo laptop. I only get 20% of score on my lenovo laptop compared to my desktop with same integrated graphics chip.
