What the heck! The thing is throttling at 3 minutes again. Did lenovo see that it worked and push out a break. God forbid the darn thing work properly.

Every Windows update is security related. They eat all data on name of security. When i have windows the schedule is
7 am ~500 mb update
12 pm ~50 mb update
5 pm ~100 mb update
10 pm ~ 200 mb update
In addition ~20 gb for new apps and ~10 gb for app updates

I am not on windows now using ubuntu. Since there had been a lot of bios updates since two months I am curious if they fixed the issue for ideapad 330-15arr.
One messagwe for LENOVO:
AT LEAST FIX THE STAPM POWER LIMIT PROBLEM WHEN THE LAPTOP IS PLUGGED IN AC. SO THAT WE CAN HAVE GOOD PERFORMANCE AT LEAST WHEN CHARGING THE LAPTOP.

Hello, I'm having a big problem after updating the BIOS(the 23.01.2019 update) on my 530s 14-ARR with AMD Ryzen 2500u.
After updating the BIOS everything was ok, no more green bars while watching youtube videos etc. BUT after unplugging the laptop, it keeps BSOD-ing after every restart(after every 1 min, no matter if I login to windows or I stay on the logon screen - if I'm fast enough to login and access a yt video, it crashes immediately and then BSOD).
If it stays plugged-in I have 0 problems and it performs fine.
I reinstalled the drivers, same issue.
I updated windows to version 1809(as it wasn't up to date when I performed the BIOS update), same issue.
I tried more versions of video drivers(Adrenalin 18.10.1; a microsoft catalog one suggested in another topic; the latest one from lenovo support), same issue.
What should I do? Please help!
EDIT: Driver Adrenalin 18.10.1 + setting AMD Graphics power setting to "optimize battery" made the laptop usable again. The new BIOS update is still questionable.

I am too getting 1100MHz, I set STAPM to 25W (Although i change STAPM to anything of my choice, our laptop can handle maximum of 55W with 3.59 GHz on all cores on cinebench), however with higher STAPM there are cases of BSOD that is why i stay at 35W maximum. On linux there is no issue.
I use AMD adrenaline 19.1.1 driver everything works gud except resolution is locked.
On linux I use amd open source mesa 19.0.0 driver with llvm8 actually better than any drivers from lenovo (i get better benchmarks) on linux i tried 55W limit it works but after some time of heavy load there is throttling.
Also no matter what you do you will stuck at 800MHz on gpu unless you do dsdt fix.
You have to add
something like that on dsdt and boot from clover there is vid guide on youtube
There will be discord link in description join it they will help you in STAPM and gpu frequency.

It seems that Lenovo is aware of the problem issued above(post 196), as the BIOS driver updated on 15 Feb for the 530s-14ARR model is the older version!!! (8PCN45WW now online recommended for download vs 8PCN50WW the one with the issues which is installed on my machine)
If anybody has o solution for how to downgrade to the earlier version which is now recommended by them, please reply.
Just read about enabling the downgrade feature in BIOS.
Downgraded, everything works fine. Hopefully it stays like this and the next BIOS update will solve the BSOD issues everyone's having on the 2500u platform.
