I´d like to upgrade my wifi card for my ideapad 330s 14 inch notebook with the model number 81F4012FGE.
The build in card is an 1x1 wifi module from intel, but it`s way to slow for me.( Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165)
Can i upgrade to any 2x2 wifi card, because there should be 2 antennas build in for 2.4 ang 5 ghz wifi (dual band).
Is there any bios whitelisting for wifi cards?
Listed FRU PARTS:
9 WLAN, Intel 3165 1x1AC+BT PCIE M.2 WLAN SW10H24486 N ● ●
9 WLAN, Cybertan RTL8821CE 1*1ac+BT4.x PCIE M.2 Module. SW10K97462 N ● ●
9 WLAN, Liteon NFA435A QCA9377A_5 1*1ac + BT4.x PCIE M.2 Module SW10K97461 N ● ●
So there is no faster Card in fru listed. That`s why im asking for another m.2 card and its whitelisting
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Unlike the other parts like ram, WLAN cards intended for the OEM machines are mostly whitelisted as shown in the FRU list you have from the hardware manual. We cannot guarantee other cards to work.
Other compatible wlan card listed here in the parts lookup page under compatible > commodity list> Wireless LAN adapter.
I hope this helps answer your query.

Thanks for the your reply. I already checked the list and reviewed the mentioned wifi devices. None on the list is superior to the build in one.
So maybe I'll try faster Intel wifi card.

Lenovo, explain to me why you whitelisted 9260NGW, 9560NGW for T495 and T495s, but didn’t whitelist them for S340-15API, although they have exactly the same chipsets? For what purpose did you deprive S340-15API customers of the opportunity to put normal wi-fi 2x2 from Intel and at the same time deprive them of their RJ45 port?
