Good evening everyone,
I have bought an Ideapad 330S-151KB (81F500GLIN). I want to, once and for all, want to confirm the compatibility of SATAIII SSDs in the m.2 slot. No one has given a clear answer. Any user who has 81Fxxxxxxx series model, did you try sata3 ssd in the m.2 slot? Please dont give me the standard DOC details, I have all the pdfs, I have looked them thoroughly, they’re vague. I want to know if any user succeeded with sata3 ssd in the m.2 slot

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Here is a discussion showing how fellow member harieshselva05 tried fitting a SATA m.2 that did not work.
" I tried installing Western Digital greeen SATA III M.2 SSD of 120gb and it did not work. After some research i found out that the notebook does not support SATA III SSD in the M.2 slot."
Another member Andy2901 from this post, " My Machine MTM 81F500WHIN, I also try to install WD Green But it didno't Work"
OEM supported m.2 SSD would be PCIe NVMe, PCIe 3.0 x 4, 32Gb/s as recommended compatible parts listed in the parts lookup page (under Compatible tab Commodity list).
I hope this helps answer your query.
