Everything was fine, laptop unplugged, battery ran out, replugged adapter and restarted, crashed as it reloaded so I went with a surprise reboot, the laptop won't turn back on now.
Can not remove the battery on this model.
Have tried unplugging and holding the power button for both 15 and 30 seconds then replugging.
Have tried the same but pressing 15 times in 1 second intervals.

Hi there, Verin -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
Pull CMOS battery and wait ~1min. Push power button with everything unplugged to discharge any lingering voltage.
There could a chances of motherboard failure. However I still recommend, if it is under warranty I would recommend contacting Lenovo service centres and applying the normal phone techniques to get it replaced promptly.
